Laem Chabang

Thailand's largest port covers 10.41 km² (6.5 RAI) and is capable of handling the largest ships.
Construction of the port complex began in 1988 to stimulate development outside Bangkok and take advantage of its proximity to the Gulf of Thailand. The container port was built in 1991. It handled 9.6 million TEU in 2022, making it the 20th busiest container port in the world. Most international traffic reaching Thailand passes through Laem Chabang. It is a port of call for princess and celebrity cruises.

Laem Chabang Cruise Terminal is located 30 km from Pattaya and 130 km from Bangkok city.
